ENDO 2019 will feature a plenary program of prominent speakers and cutting edge topics during the March 23-26 event at the Ernest N. Morial Convention center in New Orleans, La.
This year’s presidential plenary address on March 23 will be given by Francis S. Collins, MD, PhD, Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on “Whole Genome Approaches to Unraveling Diseases.”
Dr. Collins is a renowned speaker and talented physician-geneticist noted for his landmark discoveries of disease genes. He’s well known for his leadership of the international Human Genome Project, and he previously served as the director of the NIH’s National Human Genome Research Institute. He will kick off ENDO 2019 with a presidential plenary on translating whole genome data to disease.
Other noteworthy speakers are Robert Califf, MD, Duke University School of Medicine and former Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner, and Cori Bargmann, PhD, Rockefeller University and head of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s science work. Dr. Califf and Dr. Bargmann will address “Utilizing Big Data in Science and Clinical Care” on March 25.
